The geodatabase represents a significant advancement in the ability of GIS to model the real-world.  As an agency seeks to incorporate the geodatabase into its GIS, it will have to rethink its data structures and its workflows.   The initial steps to migrate to the geodatabase are critical as they can help to correct years of error filled data.
